About Anouk De Clercq

Anouk De Clercq explores the potential of audiovisual language to create possible worlds. She is interested in what lies behind 'reality' or between the visible and the imaginary. Her works have been shown at Tate Modern, Whitechapel Art Gallery, Centre Pompidou, Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia, MAXXI, Centre d’Art Contemporain de Genève, Berlinale, International Film Festival Rotterdam, Ars Electronica, etc.

She is a founding member of Auguste Orts, initiator of Monokino and lecturer at the School of Arts in Ghent.

Anouk De Clercq is the author of Where is Cinema, a book published by Archive Books.
